Experience Itinerary
1. Welcome and Ritual Introduction
Duration: 30 minutes
Participants are welcomed at the Vicuñita Research Center.
During the reception each visitor receives:
Andean forest essential oil
a small bottle of Agua Florida for energetic cleansing
drinking water
a warm muña herbal tea
The facilitator introduces the concept of Andean cosmovision, explaining:
the spiritual relationship between humans and nature
the principle of Ayni, meaning reciprocity with the Earth.
2. Interpretative Walk: Sacred Plants and the Three Andean Worlds
Duration: 50 minutes
Participants take part in a guided walk through the botanical area of the center.
The facilitator explains the role of sacred and ceremonial plants in Andean culture and their connection to the three levels of existence:
Hanan Pacha – the upper world (sky and spiritual forces)
Kay Pacha – the present world (human life and nature)
Uku Pacha – the inner or spiritual world.
The cultural uses of plants such as coca, muña, ruda, and rosemary are explained as tools for purification and spiritual connection.
3. Personalized Coca Leaf Reading
Duration: 45 minutes
Participants experience a traditional coca leaf reading, an ancestral practice used for guidance and reflection.
The process includes:
explanation of the cultural importance of coca leaves
preparation of the leaves
symbolic interpretation.
Each participant receives an individual reading of approximately 5 minutes.
While waiting, participants can rest, observe the landscape, or enjoy the surrounding natural environment.
4. Preparation of the Pachamama Offering
Duration: 30 minutes
Participants collectively prepare a symbolic offering to Pachamama (Mother Earth).
Elements may include:
coca leaves
flowers
seeds
natural elements from the land.
The facilitator explains the symbolic meaning of each element and the concept of reciprocity with nature.
5. Pachamama Offering Ceremony
Duration: 20 minutes
The central moment of the experience is the ceremony honoring Pachamama.
Participants place their offerings while the facilitator performs a symbolic invocation to Mother Earth.
This stage includes a moment of silence and reflection.
6. Closing Reflection
Duration: 5–10 minutes
The experience concludes with:
a collective reflection
gratitude to Pachamama and the Andean territory
farewell to participants.
